GSP Club of San Antonio History
The GSPC-SA was organized in the late sixties, early seventies as a Local Member Club of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, Inc. (Breed Parent Club). The Club is licensed by AKC to hold Conformation Shows, Field Trails and Hunt Tests.
About the GSPC-SA Club
Promote the Breed
Encourage the breeding of purebred German Shorthaired Pointers and protect and advance the interests of the Breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field trials, hunt test and other Club events.
Hold AKC Licensed Events
As an AKC affiliated Club, the GSCP-SA holds and supports sanctioned, licensed events and other activities that promote our Breed and other Sporting Breeds recognized by AKC. The Club's first licensed Field Trial was held in 1971.
